Kid Friendly Museums in the Baltimore-DC Area

If you live in the greater DC-Baltimore area and have kids, you know you are both lucky and blessed. There are so many options for enriching activities in this area, and that includes a bunch of world class museums. However, it is not always clear which ones are appropriate or a good idea for kids under the age of 5 years old. Well, ever since my daughter could walk, we have been trying to sample as many of the area museums as possible in an effort to give you the insider scoop on whether or not you should avoid a certain museum until your kids are older, or it should be a must-do on your list of Fun Things to Do With Kids.

Here is our list so far. If the name of the museum is hyperlinked, I have written an in-depth review of the museum from the perspective of parents with young kids. Otherwise, if it is listed we have been, but I haven’t been able to write the review yet. Still, there is a better than average chance I have at least micro-blogged about it on Instagram. So, go ahead and check out my Instagram page for more inspiration!

Thanks and have fun going on family adventures with your kids this weekend!
