Her eyes lit up as I instructed her to pour the bottle of blue glitter into the bowl of flour. ‘All of it Mommy?’ Yep– all of it. We followed blue glitter with red, purple, green, and orange, added a container of sprinkles and we were ready to usher in a new season of fairies. As I carried our ‘fairy dust’ to the front yard, my daughter pranced in front of me, giggling with delight. We spread that fairy dust all over our yard.. and guess what? It worked! Less than 3 weeks later, fairies appeared! It was magical! Of course, once the fairies appeared, we had to help them build a home.
